Lichterman Nature Center Wedding

Lauren + Michelle live in Colorado, but since Michelle grew up in Memphis it was only natural they come back here to tie the knot in front of their families + friends at their Lichterman Nature Center wedding! It was such an honor being their wedding photographer + celebrating with them.

I love how laid back they were when getting ready! Seriously, these two were the CHILLEST brides I have ever met. They hung out together in their hotel getting their hair + makeup done with friends, and only separated when it was time to put their wedding dresses on + head to Lichterman for their first look.

Lichterman Nature Center was the perfect Memphis wedding venue for this outdoor lovin’ couple.

There are several ceremony options at Lichterman. Lauren + Michelle chose to get married in the back courtyard, surrounded by the most lush greenery + under a beautiful arch from the amazing team at Lynn Doyle Flowers.

We got to take TONS of portraits of the two of them all over the center, including on the lake, along several paths, + at a little hidden gem we dubbed the Lichterman Hobbit House.

Intimate ring blessing ceremony

Then before they exchanged rings, they held a ring blessing ceremony where their rings were passed around for every guest to hold + say a silent prayer over them for the newlyweds. It was so intimate, a beautiful way for their guests to be a part of their marriage.

(Insert tears, because I was definitely getting misty eyed behind the camera.)

Night portraits

Not wanting to interrupt the party, they decided not to do a big sendoff but instead we took some time to go out + take some stunning night portraits. I  have literal proof that these two are actual woodland fairies! <3

BOTH of them were so shocked at how similar their dresses were when they turned around! Talk about fate.

(Also, yes, both of these ladies work out. ARM GOALS, amiright?!)

Their custom wedding rings are absolutely stunning! Plus, a family member actually MADE the ring box. How friggin gorgeous is this?!
