Shelby Farms Park Proposal in Memphis, TN

Chris got my name through a friend + reached out to me because he was planning a Shelby Farms Park proposal to his girlfriend Sarah!

While she lives here in Memphis, Chris currently lives in Little Rock. He drove in one weekend without her knowing for us to go scope out the perfect spot by Beaver Lake in the park !

Surprise!

When the day came, the weather did not want to cooperate + we were surprised by the leftover paths of a bike race from the day before. Even though it was raining, Chris was 100% ready to ask Sarah to be his wife so we just embraced it! A couple of clear umbrellas + a rain coat for me and we were set.

Chris had written Sarah a note with reasons why he wanted to marry her, then instructed her to find him out on the pier over the water. (AND YOU ARE DARN RIGHT I CRIED!)

If rain is good on your wedding day, then it’s EXTRA good on your engagement day!

Getting engaged is so special. I made sure to stay back out of the way while Chris talked to Sarah on the pier (even though I gave off some serious Joe vibes from Netflix’s “You” while photographing them from the trees, hahaha) + waited until he dropped to one knee + slipped a GORGEOUS ring on her finger before joining them.

Spoiler alert: she said yes!!
